Despite Media Jumps To The Defense Of Afia Pokua As Presenter Faces ‘Attacks’ From Colleagues

Since last week there have been trending news that all isn’t well at one of Despite Media’s radio stations. Okay FM is one of the vibrant stations of the business tycoon, Osei Kwame Despite. News broke out last week that some colleagues of Afia Pokua, popularly called Vim Lady have verbally attacked her for abandoning her show and choosing to be away. 

Her colleagues led by Kwame Nkrumah Tikese wondered why she will choose to rather do virtual shows while she was to report at work and do it physically. They accused her of having an E-Show. In a sharp rebuttal, Despite Media has stepped in. In a letter released they have distanced themselves from the opinions of Tikese and his colleagues. 

According to the handlers, they are aware that Afia Pokua is out of the country and she has their approval. Again, they insisted that they gave her the consent to have her Gyaso Gyaso show online. What is interesting is that they didn’t condemn the statements of Tikese and others but only insisted that those comments were not from them. Some say the pressure being mounted on them forced them to come out. Check how some Ghanaians are reacting to this.
