The Minister in charge of the Trade and Industry Ministry, Alan Kyeremanten, who is an NPP Presidential candidate hopeful, gained the favor and pleasure of the women in attendance at the 3rd Biennial Ghana Women Entrepreneurship Summit. At the summit, Alan Kyeremanten declared boldly that Ghana needs a different government policy that will increase or start making expenditures on businesses and products made by women.
This idea was received well by all who were present the Minister for Communication and Digitalization, Honorable Ursula Owusu Ekuful, and the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Governor.
Although this idea is laudable, the question that many Ghanaians are asking is how his ministry is trying to save Ghana from this economic quagmire we find ourselves in. Instead of focusing on and reviewing the existing policies in place, the Trade Minister found it wise to initiate another government policy idea, perhaps for electoral gain or advantage.
