When your life seems all empty and frustrated do these two things only

Life is a battleground. We strive and fight each day as dawn breaks. We desire and seek something better yet we often do not achieve what we have desired. There are lots of people going through difficult times of battling health issues, divorce, financial hardship, broken hearts, and many more. What do we do when we’re faced with all these events in our life? There are two things you must do when life seems empty and frustrated. 

1. Let your thought be of joy

2. Do what you can and leave the rest

  LET YOUR THOUGHT BE OF JOY

Worries, sorrows, and pain will always be with us so long as we’re still alive. The biggest question you should be asking yourself is if you can truly be happy? Yes, you can be happy. Our thoughts can only be controlled by us and nobody else. We decide whether to be happy or sad. There will be storms every day but it’s up to us whether to allow them to stay or leave. Joy is a free product that money can not buy. Instead of focusing all your energies on troubles, you can laugh out some of the problems. You should smile and do away with the anger and frustration of things that try to ruin your happiness. There is a poem that inspires me anytime I go through difficulties in my life. The poem was written by Edgar Alert Guest and goes like this

” Think happy thoughts!

Think sunshine all the day;

Refuse to let the trifling worries stay,

Crowd them with thoughts of laughter from your mind.

Think of the good, forget the bad you find,

Think of the sun behind the clouds; the blue

And not the gray skies that you view.

Think of the kindness, not the meanness shown,

The true friends, not the false ones you have known;

The joy and not the hatred of the strife,

The sweetness not the bitterness of life.

Think happy thoughts!

Think always of the best,

Think of the ones you love, not those that you detest;

Think of your victories and not your failures here,

The smile that pleased and not the hurtful sneer,

The kindly word and not the harsh words spoken,

The promise kept and not the promise broken;

 DO WHAT YOU CAN AND LEAVE THE REST.

Most times, we try to get everything at our disposal. We want to achieve everything we have set our minds to. These often make us unfulfilled so much that we think we haven’t been able to achieve anything, forgetting the little things we have been able to achieve this far in our life. You must understand that all battles can not be fought in a day. You have to fight the ones you can tackle for now and strategically prepare to face the other battles later in life. From today onwards, you must never allow things to disturb your peace. When you think the thoughts are becoming too much, just say to yourself “I will do what I can and leave the rest for another day.”
