Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has expressed that, issues that rose with e-levy led by Haruna Iddrisu, Samuel Okudzeto, and Mahama Ayariga don’t hold water.
“The burden of proof lies on the minority. For any bill to be passed, if parliament does not postpone a bill and the president appends his signature, anyone who rises against it has to be prosecuted.”
Thus, Supreme Court can Imprison Haruna Iddrisu and other NDC fellows who supported his act of rising against a bill that has been passed, now a law.
He now becomes a lawbreaker since he’s fouled it and must be prosecuted. I know we have representatives for Ghana from the various constituencies but, can’t there be another individual body that oversees the affairs of a ruling government aside from the Supreme Court?
People have grown tired of the Chief Justice and the Supreme court because they feel they will always favor the government since that is how most cases have always been.
