A birthday is a special day for everyone to celebrate and mark the anniversary of the day on which a person was born. Birthday celebrations started as a form of protection. In addition to candles, friends and family would gather around the birthday person to protect them from harm with good cheers, thoughts, and wishes. Well, Ghana’s popular musician, who goes by the name Sarkodie, took his mother’s birthday celebration to social media.
What sparked attention was that the response was more negative than positive. Some fans rained insults on the artist, and some were wishing the mother a happy birthday. Some fans suggest he should have visited her and celebrated with her rather than posting on social media. Check out some responses from users online.
One fan writes, “Happy birthday to the woman that gave birth to a hypocritic son. A son that has helped Nama Addo Inputting the lives of the youth in poverty. Mama, why didn’t you teach your child to be honest and fair and not mislead people. Mama you didn’t teach your child to speak the truth.”

You can see above that the responses from fans are more negative than positive. Some fans were not happy, while some were.
