A 17 years old teenager called Spendilove from Adomfe shared her sad story about what she went through after the death of her parents. According to the teenager, her mother fell sick and died about 5 years ago, their father took good care of them but he too died. After the death of both her parents, there was nobody to take care of the young girl.
Her uncle decided to take responsibility by catering for her and providing what she needs at school. Months later her Uncle too got married, and his wife didn’t give him the chance to continue taking care of Spendlove again. She then went to stay with her grandparents, some months later, her grandfather who was taking care of her too died.
The young girl stopped going to school because she wasn’t having money to pay for her school expenses. When she got 16, a guy who is also 20 years staying in their neighbourhood propose to her, he promised to provide everything she needs. The young girl said she accepted his proposal because she was struggling to provide for her basic needs. A few months after being in a relationship, she became pregnant but that guy too abandoned her.
The guy always insults her whenever she calls him for money, he even told her that he has regretted being in a relationship with her She struggled a lot to survive during her pregnancy period, Luckily she delivered twins but one of them died during delivery, she was not able to pay the hospital bills which made her spend three months at the hospital. Spendlove revealed that she depends on the leftover foods of the other women in the hospital.
Sometimes too she sleeps on an empty stomach whilst breastfeeding her baby. Fortunately, Wipe Your Tears Foundation came to her rescue and paid all her bills and she was discharged and came back home. The teenager said although she has come back home she doesn’t have anyone who will provide her with money and other things she will need for her 3-month-old baby.
