Lydia Forson, who unofficially was the only Ghanaian female who graced Rita Dominic’s traditional wedding has shared a new post on her Facebook page fraught with much profundity aimed at those who make jest about women marrying late or not getting married at all.
The outspoken actress and filmmaker said those using Rita Dominic’s marriage to pass uncomplimentary comments about other women whose so-called biological clocks are ticking and have still decided not to settle down have lost the script.
She posted;
“Resist the urge to use another’s celebration of love to shade others. It’s also not a “finally” moment, to say that is to suggest that all the successes they’d attained didn’t matter until THIS.
Telling others “your time will come”, because of this celebration, again, suggest that until it does they’re missing something.
Some people will get married, have children and make fantastic homemakers; others won’t, so long as each is happy, nothing else should matter.
Let’s focus on celebrating someone we love, admire and care about, instead of turning it into a prayer point, analysis or weaponizing it against others. ❤️💚”

Conspicuously missing at the star-studded traditional wedding of Rita Dominic which glamorously went down this Tuesday were Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Tiwa Savage and a host of other mainstream celebs.
Most of the above-mentioned celebs have reacted to the wedding on their various social media handles to show there’s no malice behind their no-show at the solemn event and diffuse the corresponding tension being created by fans in this regard.
Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage and Top Movie Stars, Omotola Jalade, Funke Akindele, and Annie Idibia have sent out goodwill messages to Rita Dominic for opening this new chapter in her life.
Recall that Rita Dominic and her Lover, Fidelis Anosike on Tuesday, April 19 2022 got married in a traditional wedding ceremony held in her hometown, Mbaise, Imo State. Read more here…
