The New Patriotic Party, in a letter signed by the Communication Director, Yaw Buaben Asamoa, has responded to the Economic Intelligence Unit’s prediction that the National Democratic Congress will win the 2024 elections hands down. The New Patriotic Party stated that they are open to any analysis which will help the governance of the country. In the letter, the New Patriotic Party acknowledged that the EIU has in recent times, predicted rightly the outcomes of most of the elections in the country, and as such, all of them come to pass. However, they disagreed with the EIU on their prediction that the NPP will lose the 2024 elections. They left the EIU with this message.
“Unfortunately, the EIU does not tell us how the NDC will come by its slim majority in Parliament. But given that Mahama is already the putative candidate, the EIU can comfortably say “we told you so” when the NPP breaks the eight with quality leadership and a strong policy performance that continues to deliver employment, increased infrastructure, and a higher profile against corruption.”
