Kumasi Construction Firm To Block Major Roads Around Kajetia To Ensure Accident Free Work.

Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly together with Contracta Construction Limited have issued a statement indicating that roads within some parts of the Kumasi Central Business Area would be blocked, effective tomorrow, Wednesday April 20, 2022 .

The exercise will take off from tomorrow at 7 am, management of the construction firm has disclosed.

In a press release today signed by the Consultant of the , Mr Emmanuel Danso, the temporal roadblock is to enable the Contracta Construction Limited get access to the road to offload their materials to their site where the second phase of the Central Market Project is taking place. 

The statement indicated that the roads from Racecourse to Kejatia through the Central market would be affected.

Contrata Construction firm is the major charged with the responsibility to construct the second phase of the Kumasi Central market by the government under the World Bank grants.

This was when the firm completed the first phase and handed over to the government.

As a temporal exercise Mr Danso urged the public to bear with them with the assurance that the roads would be opened when issues are completed.
