Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, widely known as Amerado who is a Ghanaian rapper has revealed that he was always confused as a child about what to do with his life.

Speaking in an interview on Atuu with Abeiku Santana, Amerado revealed that he came from a very wealthy home because both his grandfather and father were big men until death came for them when he was still a kid.
He said that he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life even though he was still schooling by then. He said that it was never his plan to be a musician in the future as he had always presumed he will be a businessman when he grows up but didn’t know what kind of business he will be doing.
Amerado revealed that he knew that he would discover his purpose in life as he grows but wasn’t certain about what he really wanted to pursue.
He added that he had no dreams to go seek greener pastures abroad even though he had so many relatives who could have helped him embark on that journey.

In other news, popular Ghanaian music group, Asakaa Boys made up of O’Keneth, Jay Bhad, Kweku DMC and Cityboy have revealed that the name “Asakaa” is not the same as the Kumerican movement even though they are proud members of the movement.
Speaking in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show, the boys explained that the name “Asakaa” was invented by their manager, Rabi Jones.
They revealed that “Asakaa”(African Drill) is a music genre that originated from Kumerica. whereas the latter is the moniker for Kumasi. They added that due to the lifestyles of people hailing from Kumasi, some stakeholders came up with the name “Kumerica”.
The boys went further to explain that the group “Asakaa Boys” is made up of more than 1,000 members but it has always been about six of them being seen on screens at all times.
