There were scenes of grief and sadness among residents of Zokoli when the 8 persons who were killed on Wednesday were laid to rest.
The 8 persons were killed by angry armed local men after the Community came under attack on Wednesday in a suspected reprisal attack.
The 8 persons believed to be Fulanis were killed following the killing of a teacher by suspected armed robbers on the Yendi-Saboba road when he was on his way to School.
The killing of the teacher who was a Konkomba by tribe angered some of his tribe mates who attacked the Fulani Community on suspecion that, the robbers who killed the teacher were of Fulani extraction.
The attackers quickly moved to the Community and starting killing members amidst the burning down of their houses.
In the process, 8 members of the Zokoli Community were killed and several others were injured in the process of the unprovoked attack.
The 8 persons have been buried in line with Islamic customs.
