Easter Tragedy As Catholic Student Dies On The Spot While Dramatising How Jesus Died On The Cross

Easter is a festival marking the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. People are nailed to crosses for several minutes. According to the Bible, the son of God was flogged, ordered to carry the cross on which he would be crucified and then put to death.

The Passion Play or Easter pageant is a dramatic presentation depicting the Passion of Jesus Christ: his trial, suffering and death. It is a traditional part of Lent in several Christian denominations, particularly in Catholic tradition. They flog themselves with wooden whips and some are nailed to the cross to atone for their sins. Good Friday is a solemn day on which Christians recall the death of Jesus and its promise of hope and new life.

A seminarian based in Nigeria has slumped and died while performing a drama on the Easter Passion of Christ. The 25-year-old student of philosophy died while acting in his role as Peter in the drama. It was gathered that first-aid was administered to the student but that could not revive him.

The deceased was born in 1997. He was a first year student at the time of his death, and had the dream of becoming a priest in the Catholic Church. It was observed that the school premises were quiet as everyone was in a mourning mood. May his soul rest in peace, please write rest in peace for him and happy Easter.
