The Denkyira Traditional Council (DTC) has lifted the month-long ban on drumming and noise-making in Denkyira enclave.
The lifting of the ban means that people living in towns and villages can now use musical instruments, clap and play loud music during their social and religious activities.
According to Nana Gyekye Anim III,Denkyira Abakomahene , the ban on noise making was lifted after a traditional gun salute and other customary rites performed early sunday morning.
“Information centers, pubs, bars, nite clubs, churches etc may therefore proceed with their activities,”he told Oppong(Journalist) in an interview.
By this directive, bereaved families can also bury their dead relatives after lifting of the ban .
The activities will begin on Sunday, April 24 and end on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 with daily events to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the people of Denkyira.
Personalities from all over Ghana and abroad will gather to pay their last respect to the Late King of Denkyira .
