The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East Constituency Hon Dr Festus Awuah Kwofie, as part of his continued support to students in the Constituency, has provided 50 trunks and 50 chop boxes to brilliant but needy students who excelled in the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Secretary for the Upper Denkyira East Constituency, Mr Yakubu Alhassan who presented the trunks and chop boxes to the students on behalf of the MP, on Thursday, April 7, 2022, said the donation is the fulfilment of a promise made by the MP to his constituents during the 2020 general elections.
He said education is very key to the development of the municipality and very dear to the MP who according to the secretary will do everything possible to support the needy but brilliant students.
He congratulated the students for their distinguished performance in their examinations and encouraged them to even do better in their various Senior High Schools.
The MP has over the years since becoming an MP, has been organizing Super Mock exams for all final year BECE candidates.
Some of the students also expressed their gratitude to the MP and promised to put the items to meaningful use.
