Bill Gates Predicts Electronic Tattoos Will Replace Smartphones

Bill Gates, the billionaire founder of software giant Microsoft, has predicted that soon-to-be-developed electronic tattoo technology could eventually supplant smartphones.

This is hardly Gates’ first prediction. Gates had discussed a pandemic he predicted years before with COVID-19.

Electronic tattoos are currently being developed by Chaotic Moon, a biotechnology business. The purpose of electronic tattoos is to evaluate and gather data from the human body.

Tattoos contain medical and sports data that enables the prevention and treatment of disease, as well as the improvement of physical and exercise performance via vital signs.

While electronic tattoos are still in development, it is known that they can be placed temporarily on the skin and contain tiny sensors and trackers that transmit and receive data via specific electrically conductive inks.

Gates believes that electronic tattoos will eventually supplant smartphones. However, the early acceptance of electronic tattoos was insufficient for the 66-year-old, who desired a smartphone-like device.

Gates’ concept, which has been featured in multiple Hollywood films, is that people may make calls, send messages, and locate places via electronic tattoos manufactured by Chaotic Moon.

Until recently, there has been no indication of when it will be launched or offered to the public. Gates and his team are exploring new ways to get people to use and interact with new technology, such as cellphones.
