Victor Moses’ Spartak Moscow Have Been Disqualified From The Europa League.

Not so good news for ex-Nigeria international Victor Moses, whose Russian club Spartak Moscow have been dealt a huge sanction by Uefa.

Following the latest action against Russia by most world organizations, Uefa have decided to ban Russian based clubs from participating in any of their competitions.

This is in line with Europe’s decision to sanction Putin and Russia following the ongoing war against neighbors Ukraine which has lasted for up to 5 (five) days.

Recall that Uefa had initially changed the venue for the champions league from Moscow to Paris last week, with FIFA also banning Russia from participating at the world cup.

The latest punishment will now be on Russian based clubs, as Spartak Moscow have been disqualified from the on-going Uefa second tier cup competition.

The decision now means that German club side RB Leipzig will advance into the quarter finals of the prestigious Europa league.

It will come as a big blow for the club as well as Nigerian star Victor Moses, as they will have to bear the punishment of Russia’s decision to go to war with Ukraine.

Do you think Uefa made the right decision to ban Spartak Moscow?
