On August 9th this year, Kenyans are expected to vote for their new set of leaders. This has ignited the political heat as the 2022 race shapes up. Several civil servants have resigned in accordance with the election laws, to prepare and vie for political seats. Among these is Mr Ngatia, a member of the presidential delivery unit, and also a close ally to the president.
He publicly revealed his resignation today. “My most recent tour of service in the President’s Delivery Unit comes to and end today. I am grateful to have worked with such wonderful people. I am now on to the next chapter,” Ngatia revealed.
“I would appreciate your prayers, good wishes, and support as I run for the office of Member of Parliament for Nyeri Town Constituency in the August elections. Thank you very much,” he added.Ngatia was appointed as a member of the presidential delivery unit in October 2018. The team was tasked with tracking the progress of the ruling government’s Big Four Agenda.
