The Kenyan general election that is scheduled in August this year is expected to be very competitive with Orange democratic movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga and deputy president William Ruto expected to be key politicians during the race.
As the country heads into the electioneering period, allies of deputy president William Ruto have in the past called on the Hague based Court to take action on the alleged malpractices planned before, during and after the general election. This is after UDA party accused the state of allegedly sponsoring violence on Ruto’s political rallies.
And now, deputy president William Ruto’s camp have finally come out to break break silence after the international criminal Court acted on their calls and sent a strong delegation to Kenya.
Through Kakamega county politician Boni Khalwale, Ruto’s camp welcomed the move by the global apex Court to deliver a strong delegation to Kenya saying that kenyans deserve free and fair general elections.
“Kenyans deserve free, fair, verifiable, credible and peaceful general elections,” the former senator disclosed.
