The Africa Cup of Nations is coming to an end with just four teams remaining in the tournament.
Many major names have already been knocked out, but there are two heavyweight semi-finals to look forward to as the teams vie for a spot in the final.
Cameroon has been excellent throughout the competition, as they advanced to the final four with a 2-0 victory against Gambia.
They will face Egypt, who had to fight hard to beat Ivory Coast and then Morocco in the knockout rounds, but they have a player in Mohamed Salah who can settle close matches with a moment of brilliance.
The other semi-final features two teams who have never won the AFCON championship.
Senegal vs Burkina Faso
Senegal is on the brink of advancing to the AFCON championship game for the second time in a row, but they must first defeat Burkina Faso in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Sadio Mane and co. scored once in the group stage but five times in the knockout round, defeating Cape Verde 2-0 in the round of 16 and overcoming Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in the quarter-finals.
Burkina Faso emerged as the competition’s surprise package, defeating Gabon on penalties in the last 16 and defeating Tunisia 1-0 in the quarter-finals.
Burkina Faso has depended on tight victories in the campaign so far, keeping two clean sheets in five games. Senegal qualified for the knockout stage thanks to strong defensive efforts and has since rediscovered its scoring boots.
Cameroon vs Egypt
Egypt will meet Cameroon in a rematch of 2017 final, which Cameroon won. The semi-final on Thursday will also feature a meeting of the two most successful teams in AFCON history, with a combined total of 12 trophies.
Egypt has not won the African Cup since 2010 when it set a new record with its seventh championship. Salah made his national team debut the following year and is still looking for his first big championship with his country.
