President Receives Otumfuo’s Gold Coin Via Charles Takyi-Boadu, Presidential Correspondent

President Akufo-Addo used to be on Thursday honoured with a present of a commemorative gold coin to have a good time the lifestyles and achievements of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

This used to be when Executives of E ON 3 Crew, the group that led the initiative to hunt authorisation from the Financial institution of Ghana for the minting of the gold coin to have a good time the monarch.

The Financial institution of Ghana gave authorization for E ON 3 Crew to mint the 24-carrat commemorative gold cash to have a good time the Asantehene for his contribution to peace development in Ghana and past.

The 24-carrat gold coin which used to be minted in Ghana by means of Gold Coast Refinery, weighs about 31.104 grams with a diameter of 37 millimetres.

Presenting the coin to President Akufo-Addo on the Jubilee Space, Jesse Agyepong, lead advisor for E ON 3 Crew stated the Asantehene gained the pillar of peace award on the Africa Premiere Management award on December 29, 2021 in popularity for his function within the battle answer over the Dagbon chieftaincy problems.

The Coin

One aspect of the gold coin bears the portrait of the Asantehene within the centre with some Adinkra symbols.

The photographs symbolise broking peace, unity and reconciliation.

The opposite aspect bears the picture of the Golden Stool, Sikadwa Kofi, which is the best possible image of peace within the Ashanti Kingdom.
