‘Stop the foolish investment in football now and invest in music’

The Black Stars didn’t do well at the Africa Cup of Nations, and some people are mad at them. Bulldog is mad at the government for investing in football and supporting the team.

It’s not good for the Ghanaian government to spend money on football, says the outspoken manager and showbiz expert. Instead, they should spend the money on music and hospitality.

“It’s about time we stop wasting our taxes on sports especially football — and invest solely in our music and hospitality sector”, Bulldog said in a Facebook post.

He argues that “all the applause and accolades Ghana has out there in the world presently is owed to our entertainment and tourism industry. Hospitality and entertainment is a high earner and healthy contributor to the country’s GDP”.

“Stop the foolish investment in football now! Invest in the arts,” he concluded. Bulldog comes to add the likes of Shatta Wale, KiDi, Stonebwoy and others showbiz personalities who expressed disappointment in the Ghana National team.

Currently taking place in Egypt, the Ghanaian national football team has been eliminated from the present African Cup of Nations tournament. After losing 3-2 to the Comoros, the squad finished last in the group stage and, as a result, had to bid the tournament farewell.
