1 Corinthians 11:15 says; “If a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering.” Something that is a source of pride should be given special care and attention.
Your hair should be groomed and styled in a pleasing and appealing manner. It would quickly become unpleasant if left to its own devices. At the same time, one must maintain suitable modesty. Some people have gone to extremes for the sake of vanity, which is obviously not God’s purpose.
In 1 Timothy 2:9-10, we find these instructions: “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works” (see 1 Peter 3:3).
Paul’s reference to “braided hair, gold, or pearls” refers to a popular hairstyle at the time in which ladies piled their hair in a rich pair of braids intertwined with precious jewels in an attempt to advertise their wealth and high position and arouse envy.
Some people have been hesitant to trim or style their hair since Paul mentions lengthy hair. 1 Corinthians 11:15, on the other hand, does not say “uncut hair,” but rather “lengthy hair.” The Bible made no mention of a woman’s hair being cut, curled, styled, or set in a suitable manner.
hair is long enough to be a covering and feminine, any length is acceptable. Any style is appropriate as long as it is modest and feminine in appearance.
