Award-winning Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has slammed politicians and how they have misused the countries resources.
In an interview on Accra FM, Martha Ankomah registered her displeasure over the way funds are misused in the country irrespective of all the natural resources the country has been blessed with. She has pleaded with the Western world to desist from granting loans to Ghana because the monies are diverted to wrong ventures.

According to the actress, the country has been blessed by God with natural resources which can make the country the best. She emphasized that if these monies are not misused and wasted, and are put to good use, there will be no need to take loans from the Westerners.
Explaining her point, she said, “the whole of Africa our problem has been leadership not just politicians because Dubai with only one resource which is oil and can develop to this stage then Ghana will all the resources…I even hear now we have oil in Ghana. If you think about it the whites are not supposed to give is loans.”
“What Dubai has is only Oil, they don’t have timber, cocoa, they don’t even grow mango there. Here we plant all these things and also have very good weather. Even when Corona started, the whites thought the black will die but our numbers are proof of the fact that God’s hands is on the continent. Our problem is leadership.”

She continued “If our leaders will develop a love for the country and the continent to turn things around it can be better. It’s better to be impactful so that when you leave, your footprints will never leave. It’s better to sit in a V8 and be impactful than distributing rice, goat, sheep during the election. You can’t sit in a V8 whiles pupils in your constituency still go to schools under trees”.
