Don’t Promote M.anifest’s Album And Disrespect Sarkodie’s Album, It’s Not Wise-DKB Says

Ghanaian comedian cum actor, Derrick Kobina Bonney, well known as DKB has stated that it is unwise to promote M.anifest’s latest album “Madina To The Universe” and disrespect Sarkodie’s “No Pressure” album.

According to him, the competition should be how to promote Ghanaian music to the world and not under our skins, thus both musicians deserve equal love and support from their fans in the promotion of their albums.

Recall, M.anifest, one of the most decorated rappers in Africa released his “Madina To The Universe” on Nov. 18, 2021. In a heartfelt tweet, M.anifest revealed that his creative journey towards crafting the body of work and expressed thanks to his collaborators for their support. The album was however was inspired by Madina, the community where he grew up.

Sarkodie also released a sixteen-tracklist album featuring some of the big names in the music scene such as Wale, Vic Mensa, Giggs, Cassper Nyovest, Harmonize, Kwesi Arthur, Benerl, Darkovibes, Medikal, Oxlade, and MOG . Although the album wasn’t a take-off as planned by the management of Sarkcess music there is a saying that “good things always come after bad things”.

Well, DKB has stated that it will be unwise for one to promote and support Manifest’s album and disrespect Sarkodie’s album. He stated that the goal should be to promote both musicians to the world and not compare their works.

He intimated that Ghanaians should learn more from their counterparts, the Nigerians who have always supported their artists both locally and internationally.

DKB wrote; Don’t promote Manifest’s album and disrespect Sarkodie’s album. It’s not wise! The competition is get to the world and not under our skins. Learn from our Nigerian Brothers.
