Legendary Dancehall Artist, Samini, has vowed to file a legal suit against popular online news portal, Ghanaweb, for what he termed as misrepresentation of section of his recent interview with Ohema Woyeje on Angel FM. In the said interview, Samini, claimed that his support for young and upcoming musicians cannot be matched by any artists. He said this while throwing were challenge that any A – list artist who thinks he has superior record in that regard should show up for them to be compared.
But a news report carved out of the interview reported Samini as saying that Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata and Kaakie among host of stars owes their success in music to him. Even though the said report originally appeared on angelfmonline.com, an angry Samini who is currently promoting his EP decided on twitter to call out Ghanaweb who curated the report on their platform and asked managers of the news portal to anticipate a legal showdown over the false publication.
Checks on the Ghanaweb platform showed the report has since been modified to reflect what Samini said in the interview but as to whether the Linda hit singer will follow through his threats of a legal suit, only time will tell.
