The managing editor for insight news paper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has sent an important message to government over 2022 budget statement. The argument between the minority MPs and majority MPs in parliament on 2022 budget statement is going higher as people thought that minority in parliament is having a strong ground on rejecting the budget despite being overturned by the majority.

The most controversial tax introduced by NPP government is E-Levy and people are against it but Kwesi Pratt Jnr has stated that the only option left for government is that they should build consensus. He stated that recent happenings in parliament is not good based on how the majority MPs are conducting themselves.

Kwesi Pratt Jnr speaking on Metro TV good morning Ghana show hosted by Randy Abbey today, 8th December, 2021 said that there is no independent MP in parliament based on how the independent MP has been tagged as NPP MP in parliament. To him, he sees no usefulness of the independent MP in parliament whom people may thought that he could be a decider on controversial issues in parliament.

According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr, government had no option than to hold dialogue on the budget and stop trying to use force means to approve everything as the constitution does not allow and Ghanaians are not in support for. He said concerns raised by the minority in parliament must be worked on for better development.
