First Deputy Speaker of Parliament joined Emefa Apawu on The Probe to tackle the recent twists and turns in parliamentary proceedings on Wednesday. The host of the show, in an attempt to find out from Joseph Osei Owusu the main reason why he did not preside the proceedings on Thursday, queried Joseph Osei Owusu if he bought into Afenyo Markin’s fear of his life in Parliament. Whiles asking the question, Emefa Apawu described Joseph Osei Owusu’s exit as a “whisking away out of Parliament for fear of his life”.
The Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Joseph Osei Owusu, responded by criticizing the host and the media at large for using words that increase tensions in society.
“Please stop that. I was not whisked away. The media people contribute to the needless tension with your choice of words. I was not whisked away. What happened was that I suspended sitting and walked away. Everything else I saw on video happened not in my presence”, he said.
