A proud daughter of former President John Jerry Rawlings honorable Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings who’s also a member of parliament for the Krowor constituency has thrilled Ghanaians.
The lawmaker decided to grace an occasion held by the disabled in the country as their guest of honor as they celebrated their 50 meters wheelchair challenge.
This act has left Ghanaians in surprise with her mingling with persons many have described as castaways and unfit for anything meaningful in life.
She said in a very grateful disposition that It was an honor to be invited to participate in the International Disability Day Celebration 50 Meters Wheelchair Challenge for Kids.Â
The way a society treats its vulnerable mirrors our humanity. People living with disabilities (PWDs) are an integral part of our fabric and must be factored into our development agenda.
We cannot continue treating the well-being PWDs as an afterthought. Let’s be guided by the spirit of togetherness as the world commemorates International Day of People with Disability.
