Host of Abranaa So on TV XYZ, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has reacted to the arrest of Captain Smart for allegedly instigating soldiers. Okatakyie claimed that, while Captain Smart is a friend, there are some issues that he, Okatakyie, has just discovered about Captain Smart, which makes him inconsistent.
“Let me be honest with you, Captain Smart is an elder brother and friend. He sometimes displays some unseriousness. This is because he is inconsistent. Today, he says something, then tomorrow, he does something different. For instance, he was seen carrying cement for the construction of the national cathedral but yet, he says he is against Christianity. I have that problem with him. I will deal with him on that level.”, he said.
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah boldly declared that he was against the arrest of Captain Smart. He believed that for now, journalists in the country will not exhibit “CNN and BBC journalism” as expected of them, since the leaders are not willing to change. According to him, till the leaders change, Captain Smart’s style of journalism will remain the same. He added that this government is intolerant and as such, must change.
