The Ghana police service will from January, 2022 inspect all commercial drivers and motorbike riders to ensure that they have taken the COVID-19 shot. Their Covid-19 cards will certainly prove that they have been vaccinated or not.

Also, government workers in all institutions such health, education and other government related workers will not be allowed into their workplaces if they do not show their vaccination certificates. Workers who absent themselves from work for this reason will be deprived his or her salary.

These are the modalities set by the government of Ghana through the ministry of health.

There have been several reactions to this and some Ghanaians seem to very unhappy about this.

Below are some comments on social media.

From the comments above, Ghanaians seem to very unhappy about the decision taken by government to inspect Covid-19 cards next month.

Some believe that, why should the government force the vaccines on them when most nations across the globe are not doing it. Others argued that, they will resist any attempt by any police to inspect their cards.

Some are also of the view that, some health workers will use this opportunity to sell fake cards to Ghanaians. This is however purely a crime.

All Ghanaians are therefore urged to visit any health center or any vaccination center to get vaccinated before it becomes too late.

The Ghana Police will be inspecting the cards on our roads and various institutions to ensure the safety of Ghanaians.
