“Today Is Not The End Of The Beginning Of Your Young Legacy”-Naomi Campbell Mourns The Late Virgil Abloh [Video]

British model and singer, Naomi Campbell has also paid tribute to the Ghanaian-American designer and DJ, Virgil Abloh.

The sudden demise of Virgil Abloh was announced yesterday on social media on his verified Instagram page as well as Luis Vuitton’s Twitter page.

Virgil Abloh was said to have been battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer, cardiac angiosarcoma for several years and has been undergoing challenging treatments until his sudden and unfortunate demise.

Naomi Campbell has also taken to her social media to pen down her last words and how best she knew the trained architect before his death.

She wrote;

Your impact your reach your influence captured a culture across the world , whether it be street fashion , high fashion , skateboard community, music world design and Art world
mentoring students all over the world at Art schools or DJ’ing for us all to enjoy , the diaspora of Africa , And the great Continent of Africa of which you were a. Proud Ghanaian. .. YOU REACHED!, So grateful to God, got to see you recently in Qatar with @almayassabnthamad who hosted us and to be apart @fashion4relief of your event and the Launch of your exhibition Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech .. On this very sad day we are left numb ,..but so much to learn from you , you were a mastered mind of putting things together, . You were humble and worked hard and brave with all you were going through, You lived your dream and got that seat at the table HISTORIC!!! @lvmh Today is not the end it’s the beginning of your beautiful and young legacy You always said you were an engineer and Architect can’t wait to see what you have in store for the world .this side and the other .. .
