Ghanaian artist Andy also known as Odakidi Andy has shared some bitter life experiences in a new interview with Graphic .

Andy was one of the participants who got to the finals in TV3’s reality show Mentor 1. He was amongst the few contestants who produced their first track which went well until he went silent for a few years.

In a new interview, Andy has disclosed the reason why he took a long break from the music scene and how he has bounced back to the music scene. He disclosed that during his break from music, he was not ideal but used those years to record more songs and also perfected his stage performance.

The “Sweetie” hitmaker said, “during my long break, I used the opportunity to record more songs and also perfected my stage performance. I have enough songs for Ghanaians and I can say that I am ready for Ghanaian music now”, he stated.

“I would have been a better artist if I had fallen into the hands of nice people, but I let some individuals into my life who ended up being my undoing.” He remarked, “I was duped into doing things I shouldn’t have done back then.”

Andy also said that he dropped out of the music industry because he was unprepared to handle fame.

“To tell you the truth, fame came to me unexpectedly and I was not prepared. Within three months, I had become well-known, but I had no idea what to do next. Within three months, I was all over the place and unsure how to deal with the fame.
