According to the journalist and Twitter influencer, if any woman has never been tagged as a prostitute, then she cannot define herself as a woman. She stated that most women who are very loud are mostly given that title, other than that, there must be something wrong somewhere.

Bridget Otoo stated that everything about being a woman needs to be sexualized, thus any woman who is very vocal and defends herself against attacks will have to be tagged as a prostitute.

“For a woman, everything has to be sexualised. I always say this, if you are a woman and you have never been called ‘ashawo,’ then you are not a woman. If a woman, who is vocal and has not been called ashawo, you are probably doing something wrong,” she said.

“It’s the first go for them. I think they just feel emasculated. They feel like how dare her to defend herself,” she added.

While speaking on the Good Evening Ghana show on Metro TV, Bridget Otoo tried justifying the humiliation she and her colleagues, Nana Aba Anamoah and Serwaa Amihere subjected a young blogger to.

According to her, she and her colleagues were only trying to defend themselves from the social media bully, hence whatever they are being accused of doing to the young man was just.

She stated that using a professional platform to settle scores with the young man was also just because they wouldn’t have found him anywhere to question him about his doings.
