Recall, IGP scheduled a conference with creative actors to discuss ways to improve collaboration and cooperation. Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Stonebwoy, A Plus, Bulldog, Samini, Socrate Safo, Afia Schwarzenegger, Rex Omar, among other industry gurus were among those in attendance.

During the meeting, COP Kofi Boakye lamented the sense of entitlement of celebrities in Ghana, saying that some of the things they do are sometimes very disgusting.

“I want to say that the sense of entitlement of celebrities is becoming overwhelming and I just don’t get it. Some of the things that you do are disgusting, truth be told. If we cannot arrest pickpockets, we cannot arrest armed robbers. No one is above the law. When you fault it and the law has to deal with you, we will, so that it will deter others” he said.

He went further by saying that some of the privileges the celebrities are demanding from the law will have to be snubbed on the accounts that some of them will abuse those privileges when given to them.

“If you want privileges, what privileges do you want? That you can pull a weapon anytime and nothing would be done to you? No, that is not possible, we cannot do that,” he fumed.

In reaction to his submissions, Guru disputed COP Kofi Boakye’s claims that none of the persons present at the meeting or even not present deserve to be tagged as celebrities. According to him, the IGP invited them because he knew they are celebrities.

In a tweet, he wrote; In what capacity were they invited then. You invite people to a meeting and start questioning the very reason u found it necessary to invite them.
