Efia Odo has expressed a genuine concern in a Twitter post and we think it deserves all the attention and intellectual perspective from all angles to remedy the anomaly.
Making her point- the actress and former Kwese TV presenter said religious programs, telenovelas, and Nigerian content gave flooded our local TV space at the expense of local productions, and this is very worrying.
She tweeted;
Gh channels are full of pastors praying and Chinese/Telenovela dramas in twi. They show more Nigerian movies than Ghanaians(no hate to Nigerians but I’ve never seen a Ghanaian movie on Nigerian television). If not for streaming platforms I would’ve questioned why I even have a tv.
In a related development, Efia Odo, born Andrea Owusu recently said in a tweet that she really wants someone to come for her heart.
The former Kwese TV presenter and one of the conveners of the Fix the Country Movement who later chickened out asked that someone come quickly to take her heart since she doesn’t need it anymore.
Taking to her Twitter handle, she stated, “Can someone please come for my heart, I don’t want it anymore.” One of her followers reacted to her tweet by writing;
I have waited for years and months for this day. I love you Efia and I am ready to take care of your heart. I will treat it like an egg and handle it with no blemish. This is me, Kwame Odo, you day 1 crush.
