Stonebwoy has tagged himself as a man of God in a new interview he had with astute journalist Bernard Avle on Citi TV’s Point of View show.
The leader and founder of Bhim Nation took viewers through the journey of his career and activism while explaining that he propagates positive messages through his songs which invariably makes him a man of God.
Furthermore, he said even though his father is a Christian preacher with the Deeper Life Ministry, he has chosen a different path to minister to people through impactful lyrics, philanthropy, and activism.
Stonebwoy’s recently-released song, titled, Greedy Men, talks about corruption at various levels in society with a focus on illegal mining and its impact on the environment.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has offered his opinion about the recent incarceration of industry colleagues Medikal and Shatta Wale.
The honcho of the Bhim Nation fraternity said one should always consider the laws and rules of engagement in the land.
Stonebwoy did his best not to address the issue directly but said eventually that in Wale’s case, he could have handled the death prophecy in a way that wouldn’t have caused any ripple effect.
“You catch a thief stealing something of yours. There are steps you have to take. And if you don’t take time, although you’ve caught a thief who is stealing something from you, you can get into trouble. So there are laws, and there are rules and regulations that apply to everything that we do. Assuming I pick a knife and I stab that thief or I kill him, I have committed a crime. Irrespective of the fact that he stole something from me.
There are better ways to deal with situations. So that the ripple effect doesn’t go round and round. Your reaction to what happens matters the most. That is the example I can put right now. So that we are all careful to know that irrespective of whether we are right, we have to know that whatever we do as a result of that also has its own implications.”
