President Akufo-Addo has endorsed the new song by Sarkodie, Happy Day, which featured highlife sensation Kuami Eugene.
The song which has a political connotation has Sarkodie endorse the candidature of President Akufo-Addo ahead of the December polls.
In a Twitter post, President Akufo-Addo acknowledged the song and expressed how great a song it is and added the famous electioneering slogan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP): “The Battle Is Still The Lord’s.”
Although Sarkodie has come under severe fire from the opposition party National Democratic Congress for publicly endorsing President Akufo-Addo – an action they describe as hypocritical – the rapper is unperturbed.
In related news, a section of the NDC has promised or better still verbally sworn to boycott the future releases of Sarkodie following his endorsement of President Akufo-Addo. Meanwhile, dancehall musician Samini has also joined the bandwagon of celebrities endorsing the NPP.
