Award-winning dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has revealed that he was instructed by God to sacrifice himself by getting himself arrested and prosecuted following a doom prophecy made about him.

Shatta Wale turned himself in over to the police after pulling up a publicity stunt by faking a gun attack on himself at East Legon. He successfully pulled the stunt with the aid of three of his crew member that including his PR, Nana Dope. They were all arrested and trialed at the Accra Circuit court.
Shatta Wale and his three accomplices were remanded into police custody at the Ankaful prison in the Central region but were granted bail of GHc100,000 each.
Shatta Wale while rendering a sincere apology to his fans on Facebook claimed that he was instructed by God to make that sacrifice by getting himself arrested for the noble cause. He pleaded that his fans forgive him for his actions so they can jam to his upcoming album, GOG Album.
He wrote; All those that felt bad about the whole situation,I want to say am sorry ok. I had to do that sacrifice cuz God told me to 
Will you forgive me now so we move to GOG and start jamming
