Ghanaian actor and television personality Akwasi Boadi aka Akrobeto has chastised embattled dancehall musician Shatta Wale for being the orchestrator of his problems.
According to him, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr could have conducted himself better to avert the troubles that have befallen him where he now has to spend some days at the Ankaful Prison in the Central Region.
Speaking on his show, the Real News on UTV on Friday, Akrobeto shared his personal opinion on why he thought Shatta Wale could have behaved better. He maintained that though the apprehension of the artist was understandable considering the doom prophecy on his life, the way he went about it by creating a hoax about an attack on his life was completely unacceptable.
Why do you have to fake a gun attack on your life? Shatta, you made a big mistake. It was not right of you to fake a gun attack on yourself in order to trend. You need to change your attitude when you come back from remand. No one is above the law, not even famous people like yourself.
Akrobeto added that precedents have been set where so-called celebrities have been arrested and subjected to the law when they flouted it thus Shatta Wale should have known better. He said remand should definitely help Shatta Wale to have an attitudinal change.
The likes of Owusu Bempah, Kwaw Kese were arraested when they went wronbg. Change yout attitude when you come back from remand. You need to lead by exmaple. Your action must not cuase fear and panic in the country. What at all do you seek out of life?” He queried.
Medikal has been remanded into police custody for 5 days for brandishing a gun on social media while Shatta Wale and two others have also been remained in police custody for 7 days for creating a hoax about an attack on his life.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has been reportedly transferred to Ankaful Prison in the Central Region. The Ankaful Prison is one of the toughest prisons in the country where hardcore criminals, murderers and serial killers are kept. It is unclear why an entertainer has been sent there.
