Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is known as Shatta Wale is like to spend five years in jail or pay a whopping sum of GHC 36,000 for causing fear and panic.

It could be recalled that Shatta Wale gave out some false information about him being shot on Monday, October 18.

The award-winning dancehall musician made headlines only to come out and say it was a stunt, however, the police didn’t take it lightly as they picked him up for questioning.

Shatta Wale is set to appear in court today and according to the renowned Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, the musician is likely to be slapped with a jail term of five years or pay a fine of GHC 36,000.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw made this known in a recent submission he had on Hitz FM when he was interviewed by Andy Dosty during the DayBreak Hitz program on Wednesday, October 20.
