The wife of the embattled pastor, Bishop Stephen Kwesi Appiah, also known as Jesus Ahoufe of New Life Kingdom Chapel, Viviana Appiah, has accused the Ghana Police Service of treating her husband unfairly.

She believes the police have been manipulated to prolong the case involving her husband unnecessarily.

In an interview with Citi News, Madam Viviana Appiah urged the police to take the case to court.

She insisted that they are prepared to prove their case in court and urged the police to charge her husband if they believe he has committed any wrongdoing.

“They’ve been keeping my husband here and saying it’s an order from above. So we want to know the order from above and prove what my husband has done bad, or take us to court for us to go and prove our case there.”

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, Bishop Stephen Kwesi Appiah was arrested.

He was arrested in connection with a prophecy he made that Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, would be killed on October 18, 2021.

Shatta is also in police custody following reports that he had been shot, which turned out to be a hoax.
