Rapper Okyeame Kwame has said that he couldn’t help but cry when he learnt that Obour has lost the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries.
The former Musician Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA) president contested at the Asante Akyem South constituency in the Ashanti Region. Obour polled 296 votes while incumbent Member of Parliament, Kwaku Asante Boateng polled 360.
“I cried when Obuor lost his primaries. He is the most selfless human being I know and I know he would have been an amazing MP for the people. I have confidence he will succeed in future,” Okyeame Kwame said on Starr FM Wednesday.
He also revealed that he has been thinking of going into politics in recent times.
“Going into politics has crossed my mind 50% of the time. My wife says I don’t have the heart for politics but I don’t think I should have the heart before I get into it”.
