Asiedu Nketia Recounts His Working Experience With The Late Nana Ampadu As A Promoter

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has paid tribute to the late Nana Ampadu who demise was reported a few days ago.

Nana Ampadu’s death was confirmed by his grandson in an interview with Hitz FM, who said his grandfather died at 6 a.m. yesterday. Following the viral nature of these stories, the iconic musician’s son offered a contrary comment. His father, according to his son, is not dead, but rather in a critical state.

Nana Ampadu’s grandson voiced his sorrow further, saying that he couldn’t say what caused the famous musician’s death, but that Nana Ampadu had been ill for some time.

In reaction to the demise of the maestro, Asiedu Nketia who has served as a teacher, a banker, and now a politician has revealed that he once worked with Nana Ampadu as a music promoter. He said that he developed a relationship with the Highlife singer back in the days before joining politics.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM, Asiedu Nketia said; “As a music promoter, I worked with Nana Amapdu, Alex Konadu, Adofo, and other highlife legends in the country before I even came into active politics”.

He further revealed that Nana Ampadu composed most of the NDC campaign songs back in the days and even when he switched to join the NPP, they still maintained their bond for years until his demise.
