Boost For Lotto Firms –

Kofi Osei Ameyaw – MD NLA

Arrangements are on course to establish a welfare fund for the benefit of National Lottery Authority (NLA) and licensed lotto marketing companies.

The project is being spearheaded by the Board of KGL Technology Limited, in consultation with the leadership of both the NLA and the Association of Lotto Marketing Companies (ALMC).

When it is operational, the fund can be accessed by the licensed companies.

An NLA Public Relations Unit source told DAILY GUIDE that the fund seeks to promote the shared objective of improving revenue generation, by enhancing operations of lotto marketing companies under the authority.

Arrangements are in their final stages by the boards and leadership of KGL, NLA and ALMC towards settling on the seed amount, criteria and modalities for accessing the fund.

The fund is a giant step towards addressing the many welfare needs of the licensed companies.

KGL Technology Limited, although the driving force behind the initiative, is an equally licensed Online Lotto Marketing Company that owns and operates the Keed-NLA’s online and *959# platform.

KGL Technology Limited, through the Keed-NLA’s suite of online games, remains committed to the revenue-generating objectives and welfare of the collective body, a statement from its management has indicated.

KGL Technology Limited is leading the charge and committing sustainable financial and resource investment into what for it is a corporate social responsibility tasked and aligned to the National Lotto Act 722.

KGL Technology, since its inauguration, has been constantly evolving and digitalizing to become the mainstay of consumer preference, DAILY GUIDE has learnt.

A core mandate of the NLA is to market and sell differentiated lottery products to create a viable revenue stream for the government’s development agenda.

KGL Technology Limited’s operation of the Keed-NLA’s online and *959# platform and its subsequent positive impact on growing revenue and player acquisition has fast become an integral wing of the NLA.

It has also emerged that the KGL’s efforts in assisting the NLA to achieve its goal for the consolidated fund have impacted positively on government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

NLA, KGL Technology Limited and ALMC will take pragmatic steps to improve the conditions of the collective body of lotto marketers starting with this welfare fund.

The Public Relations Unit of the NLA has said details of the initiative will be communicated to stakeholders.
