Veteran actor, Bob Smith Jnr. popularly known as ‘Diabolo’ says he’s pained at the news of his colleague actor, Kofi Laing aka Kohwe’s death, MyNewsGh.com reports.

Eulogizing his colleague on Kumasi-based Pure FM in an exclusive interview with Hammer Nti on the popular ‘Hammer Time’ entertainment program and monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Diabolo stated that Kohwe has lived a worthy life and helping strengthen the foundation of Ghana’s Creative Arts and film making industry.

“I am in pain hearing the news of Kohwe’s death. He’s lived a good life and he has become a household name for all the good and entertaining reasons.

Everyone can get sick and ultimately we will all go but I am really hurt Hammer. I am in pain. He’s one of the pioneers that have solidly built the film industry.” He stated on Pure FM.

Actor, Kofi Laing often known as Kohwe, was a well-known Ghanaian actor who died yesterday.

His daughter, Comfort Laing, in confirming the news to MyNewsGh.com said her father died in the evening of Thursday, September 16, 2021, at his home in Accra.

Kohwe was 75-years-old.

It was stated a few weeks ago that he had suffered a stroke and was being treated in a hospital.
