The Greater Accra branch of the Ghana Tailors and Dress Makers Association (GNTDA) on Tuesday, September 15, 2021, commissioned a new secretariat at No 3 Odomfer Street Kokomlemle in Accra with an appeal to members to render quality services to the public.

The National President, Mrs Joana Eshun Mensah also commended the Greater Accra Association branch for putting up a well-equipped secretariat second to the national secretariat.

She urged other branches of the association in Ghana to emulate the Greater Accra branch.

Mrs Mensah made the appeal during the tape cutting ceremony as she urged members to work hard to sustain the association.

She also commended members for coming together and assured them of her administration’s assistance.

Former Regional Chairman Mr Frances Addo Biney also commended the new chairman Aziz Ali and his executives for putting up a secretariat in just three months in office which his predecessor couldn’t do in four years.

Mr Abdul Aziz Ali, the Chairman of Greater Accra Branch said that the business of tailoring is not for the school dropout as perceived but a professional business for literates.

Mr Abdul Aziz also appealed to the government to support them with loans for tailoring in order to purchase equipment to promote made in Ghana products.

Present at the ceremony were: Former Regional coordinator, Mr Jerry; Former Vice Chairman, Cosmos Zak Inkum; Central Regional Secretary, Alhaji Bala Saheed and the more than six hundred members of the association.
