Kumerican rapper Ypee sadly bows out of the music industry temporarily after not getting much attention while Yaw Tog, others take the shine

Ypee has sadly told his fans that he’s taking an indefinite break from music ‘to get some air and remind himself of who he is.’

His message was shared on Twitter a few days ago. It’s believed he’s frustrated with the lack of attention he’s getting in the mainstream while on the other hand, his younger counterparts like Yaw Tog, Kofi Jamar, and others have quickly established themselves as forces to reckon with.

He tweeted;

“Sometimes You Need To Step Outside, Get Some Air And Remind Yourself Of Who You Are And Who You Want To Be. Taking A Break, I’ll Be Right Back. #PeeVolution.” 

Ypee started his music career immediately after finishing secondary school. He became a household name after he featured Sarkodie on his Meye Guy (Remix).

He has sonce collaborated with top Ghanaian musical artists including Sarkodie, Samini, Kelvynboy, Medikal, Criss Waddle, Joey B, Lilwin, Kofi Mole, Kuami Eugene and Sista Afia.

He held and organized a music concert titled, Mefri Oseikrom Concert in Ghana known with the hashtag #MefriOseikromConcert and the concert took place in Kumasi. The concert had a great amount of regulars and VIP in attendance with over 15,000 people present for the live concert.
