Cristiano Ronaldo is upbeat about his return to Old Trafford, a place where the first success story of his illustrious journey as a footballer was indelibly scribed in gold.

Ronaldo, who is one of the best players in history believes moving back to Manchester United is the best decision he has made.

The Portuguese captain was not happy during his last days playing for Juventus. According to reports, the player was always looking for a move away from the club since he was deemed as a “nuisance.”

However, Cristiano Ronaldo in a social media post has said he has indeed returned to where he truly belongs…a place where history was made and more history will be made.

He wrote the following:

Everyone who knows me, knows about my never ending love for Manchester United. The years I spent in this club where absolutely amazing and the path we’ve made together is written in gold letters in the history of this great and amazing institution.

I can’t even start to explain my feelings right now, as I see my return to Old Trafford announced worldwide. It’s like a dream come true, after all the times that I went back to play against Man. United, and even as an opponent, to have always felt such love and respect from the supporters in the stands. This is absolutely 100% the stuff that dreams are made of!

My first domestic League, my first Cup, my first call to the Portuguese National team, my first Champions League, my first Golden Boot and my first Ballon d’Or, they were all born from this special connection between me and the Red Devils. History has been written in the past and history will be written once again! You have my word!

I’m right here!

I’m back where I belong!

Let’s make it happen once again!

PS – Sir Alex, this one is for you…

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to take the number 7 short from Cavani and will take a pay cut in order to play for the club he loves.

Manchester United’s stock rose as much as 11% in New York trading after the club confirmed a deal with Juventus Football Club S.p.A for Ronaldo’s transfer, subject to personal terms, visa and medical approval. The Italian football club’s stock rose 1.2 per cent on Friday.

The move came just one day after it was reported that rival Manchester City was the frontrunner to sign Ronaldo. According to ESPN, the star forward agreed to a 15 million euro contract with an option for an additional 8 million euro in add-ons over two years.
