Young Ghanaian referee, Daniel Laryea has been picked by FIFA to officiate one of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The Ghana Premier League match official has been appointed as the referee for Tunisia and Equatorial Guinea’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar round two Match Day 1 qualifier next month.

The 34-year-old Daniel Laryea will be assisted by his compatriot Kwasi Brobbey Acheampong (Assistant II), Benin’s Ayimavo Aymar Ulrich Eric (Assistant I), and Ligali Adissa Abdul Raphiou (Assistant I) (Fourth referee).

Egypt’s AbedlHamid Essameldin Abdelfattah has been named Referee Assessor, with Algeria’s Bahloul Amar serving as Match Commissioner.

The Group B match will take place on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 20:00GMT at the Olympic Stadium in Rades.
