Ghanaian Content Creator Kwadwo Sheldon is not a happy person as far as the enthusiasm shown by Sam George for the passing of the Bill against LGBTQ+ in Ghana is concerned.

According to the YouTuber, the Ningo-Prampram MP should be preoccupied with the plights of his constituents and frantically working to change the status quo.

Kwadwo Sheldon believes or feels Sam George’s eagerness to see to the criminalization of LGBTQ+ in Ghana is a misplaced priority especially when poor fisherfolks in his constituency are in dire need of the MP’s support and attention.

He tweets:

Sam George be my MP for the Prampram there. the Fisherfolks dey live in abject poverty but let’s introduce a bill to parliament to criminalize homosexuality! wei! y3 de bu oman? Kai!

Meanwhile, Sam George has maintained that he will ensure, together with the support of other legislators, to pass the law against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and other related acts and activities in Ghana.

Already, portions of the Bill have been leaked.

He had written:

A lot of uninformed commentary, emotional huffing and puffing and vain grandstanding from persons who have failed to grasp the import of the Bill. So far, not even one intellectual challenge seen. We are focused on the substance and would pass this Bill.

I have been overwhelmed by the massive support even here on a very ‘liberal’ platform like Twitter for our Bill on the LGBTQI+ menace. Homosexuality is NOT a human right. It is a sexual preference. Preferences are not absolute or unregulated. We SHALL pass this Bill through

I have seen the attacks from a few goons aligned to a political inclination based on my leadership on the PMB against LGBTQI+ in Ghana. Bow your heads in shame. Nothing would stand in our way to get this Bill passed by the House. Take your perversion and let me speak my truth!

Kwadwo Sheldon has a penchant for having a go at other celebrities and politicians he disagrees with, especially politicians from the other side of the political divide.

His tweet was not left attended to as netizens disagreed with him on the fact that much priority should be placed on poor fisherfolks than the criminalization of LGBTQ in Ghana.
